Fans were unhappy when Charlotte Flair got inserted into the RAW Women’s Championship scene after Rhea Ripley and Asuka were initially scheduled to face each other. The backlash centered around Asuka not getting her due despite being the hardest worker in the women’s division. Turns out, it also displeased WWE icon, Dave Batista.

Ahead of Backlash, Asuka and Rhea faced each other in singles competition on RAW. Rhea secured a resounding victory over Asuka. Consequently, WWE posted the clip of Rhea’s victory on Instagram.

Interestingly, this post caught the attention of former WWE Champion and Hollywood star, Batista. Characteristically, he did not shy away from giving his opinion.

“Seriously? Jobbing out Asuka?! WTF?” he wrote under the post and even got involved in a verbal altercation with a fan.

The fan called out Batista over the “jobber,” comment.

“And you can’t even tell the difference between losing and being jobbed out. Yeah!! You know more about the business than I do. Enjoy your 15 seconds JR. You’re dismissed,” Batista wrote. You can check the comment and post below.

It is not the first time that ‘The Animal’ has praised Asuka. Last year, when Asuka won the RAW Women’s Championship, Batista called Asuka his “hero.”

Asuka held the title for almost a year before she dropped the RAW Women’s title to Rhea at WrestleMania 37. The match at WrestleMania Backlash was initially a rematch for the WrestleMania bout.

But Charlotte returned to the RAW following WM. Notably, Flair had missed the event as she was infected with COVID-19.

She demanded to be a part of the title scenescene, and WWE Official Sonya Deville finally made the call.

Recently, Asuka spoke about her aspirations in the industry. “I gave up on my dream once, I went to college and after graduating from college, I started training. I couldn’t give up on my dream,” Asuka told ET Canada.

“My friends gave me confidence, ‘You can do it, you can do it!’ I called a wrestling company in Tokyo. I left my hometown of Osaka, Japan. Now I am a WWE superstar. Don’t give up on your dream!”

Asuka initially retired from the industry because of health complications. “People all over the world are watching WWE. My goal in WWE is to get more people to know me. I want to share the wonderful cultures of Japanese and Asians as an Asian.”
