Thurston added that these latest lay-offs, releases, and restructuring in the company is more of Nick Khan and Kristina Salen reversing decisions of former top executives.

Brandon Thurston further added that WWE had way more talent on its roster than it ever needed. However, new leadership of Nick Khan and Kristina Salen may not see this as a cost-effective measure for the company.

He concluded saying the talent hoarding and other measures like putting NXT head-to-head with AEW is now being looked at as costly and ineffective. And hence, they’re now reversing the damage caused.
