Love is in the air, and it was definitely felt inside the Kaseya Center! With the 2025 WNBA season wrapped up and the Las Vegas Aces having secured another title, all thanks to A’ja Wilson’s dominance, players across the league are either enjoying a well-deserved break or getting right back to work for next year. But for Wilson, the offseason is also about showing support to her boyfriend in a rather peculiar manner.

As the Miami Heat faced off against the Golden State Warriors, the newly crowned four-time WNBA MVP was spotted courtside in a Bam Adebayo jersey, cheering from the sidelines and making it clear exactly who she had shown up for. Wilson had the jersey flipped around, showing the name front and center. A move many think was intentional, so there’d be no doubt about whose name she was repping.

After missing six games with a lingering toe issue, Adebayo was officially cleared to suit up just a few hours before the game. Head coach Erik Spoelstra confirmed that the plan includes a careful minutes restriction, a measured approach as the Heat works the veteran back into rhythm.
His return came at an opportune moment. The Heat are looking to build momentum against the Warriors’ squad, who are dealing with their own personnel challenges. Golden State entered Wednesday severely depleted (Playing without Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler III, Draymond Green, Al Horford, and Jonathan Kuminga at the end of a six-game trip), which gave Miami an opening to recalibrate their rotations with Adebayo back in the mix.
Fair to say Wilson turned into a good luck charm for the Heat and Adebayo, who took over in the fourth quarter to churn out a much-needed win. Adebayo played for 29 minutes and scored 20 points with seven rebounds and three assists. Wilson and Adebayo’s story, though, isn’t new to fans. People have watched the two admire each other from afar for years. Championships, Team USA runs, off-court support… they’ve always seemed to orbit each other.

Before they ever dated, they were friends, and by last year, that friendship had taken a turn everyone had been rooting for. Wilson was right there in Paris when Adebayo won Olympic gold in 2024, and a few months later, in February, she didn’t shy away from confirming that the two were officially together.
Recently, on Good Morning America, the Las Vegas Aces star opened up about what their relationship looks like beyond the reels. “In my eyes, he’s perfect,” Wilson said. “He’s perfect. He can do no wrong. Obviously he’s human but the support that he gives always, it’s incredible to think that I’ve kind of met my match.”

Furthermore, she didn’t sugarcoat the reality of juggling two demanding careers either. “We were just like, ‘You know, this isn’t going to be easy,'”she explained. “Obviously, with our schedules and our lifestyle. But at the end of the day, if we want it to work, we’re going to make it work for each other. When you see the behind the scenes, when you see the down days, the good days, you have to show up.”
And that’s exactly what she did. Showed up. Courtside, present, and unmistakably in his corner.

Are A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo engaged?
Lately, fans have been noticing something on Wilson’s hand that has them singing Beyoncé’s Upgrade U lyrics. “And rumors you on the verge of a new merge cause that rock on ya finger’s like a tumor you can’t fit ya hand in ya new purse,” one fan posted as the rest rallied behind, speculating that the two basketball players might have gotten engaged.
The fact that Wilson wore the ring on her right hand, not the left, didn’t stop them. They just think she’s trying to throw them off. As adorable as the idea sounds, neither Adebayo nor Wilson has confirmed anything. Still, because they’re both extremely private, many believe they wouldn’t make a big announcement even if it were true.
Well, yes, both stars haven’t shied away from showing their affection for one another. But they’ve also agreed to keep their relationship offline, calling social media “poisonous to the mind.” So, there are barely any grand posts, no curated couple content, just support, respect, and a connection that doesn’t need the spotlight to shine.

Still and all, until the two actually say something, it’s just speculation and fan theories.
