Angel Reese is turning the WNBA offseason into a fashion runway. While attending an NBA game to support Chicago Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr., she made a statement in a custom Y2K look by Sankara Xasha Ture. The logomania-heavy fit, capped by a rare pink Hermès Birkin, underscored her growing fashion identity. Now, Reese has taken a money move that signals this style era is just getting started.

Angel Reese is already a business mogul despite earning only $74,909 from her WNBA salary in 2025. However, that accounts for only a fraction of her actual earnings.

In college, her NIL valuation peaked at around $1.8 million with major deals from brands like Reebok and Reese’s Puffs. A part of her income also comes from her modeling career, walking for Victoria’s Secret, and becoming SI’s swimsuit model. Now, she has made a strategic business decision away from the WNBA and the sports world.

“Skincare brand Topicals announced on Wednesday it has closed a round of funding with participation from the WNBA star Angel Reese and the Nigerian singer Rema, as well as other figures from the entertainment and sports industries. Terms of the investment were not disclosed. Since its 2020 launch, Topicals has raised over $20 million,” revealed businessofbeauty.

Even before she invested in the brand, Reese recommended its eye patches in the Vogue game day beauty routine video back in January 2025. “Gotta keep the eyes nice and fresh. So I use these, the topicals,” she said. “They say you can put them either way. I use them by the thickest part first.”

Founder Olamide Olowe said that she wanted to invite investors from the Topicals community. “When you think of [Topicals], you think of our marketing, storytelling, and products, and you think a lot about culture,” she said. “These are people who control culture.” It’s a no-brainer to invest in a skin care brand for Reese.

Day by day, she is rising in the fashion world and has evolved into a fashion influencer cum WNBA star. Reese could help this brand reach a much wider and unique user base. The brand can reach people who are sports fans as well as those who are following Reese for her fashion exploits.

For Reese, it’s another addition to an already impressive portfolio that includes DC Power FC in NWSL and TOGETHXR, a media company founded by the likes of Sue Bird, Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, and Simone Manuel. From investing in culture-shaping brands to living the jet-set life that comes with it, Reese’s offseason has been a snapshot of her evolution beyond the WNBA

Private Jet, Vacation, and a Five-Word Statement From Angel Reese

Angel Reese has started 2026 in style. After attending the Magic vs. Bulls game, she was off on a private jet to Barbados. Through her Instagram stories and a TikTok, the Chicago Sky star initially shared a video climbing the stairs of a private jet and lounging, with the caption on the video reading, “Oh, nothing, just woke up on the first Monday of the new year & decided to fly out the country.”

Reese went on to post multiple breathtaking views on the beach. While enjoying, however, she took a moment to take a step back and be grateful for her current life as a WNBA star, fashion icon, and business mogul. With the backdrop showing an orange tinge of the sunset on the beach, she wrote, “Like wow. This is my life.”

Reese later posted a few pictures inside the luxurious private jet. She also revealed the location she was visiting, with a photo of a sign reading, “Welcome to Barbados.” Safe to say she is following through with what she said. However, it’s not only a vacation for Reese. As she revealed a few weeks ago on her podcast “Unapologetically Angel,” she is there for a shoot as well.

“I’m going to shoot something really big in the Barbados in January,” she had said. “I’ve never been to Barbados, so I’m really, really excited. And I’m only going to be there for 3 days, but it’s going to be fun. And I love vacations, and I’m going to take some cute pictures.”

The Sky star also announced her next destinations. “Then after that, I’m going to London and Berlin,” She said.”I’m going to go and get a bag, hopefully in Berlin or London. I’m really excited to go there.” It seems Reese is taking this offseason to reset for the new season since the only basketball she has played since the WNBA ended was at the Team USA Camp last month. Reese is skipping the second season of Unrivaled, which kicked off on January 5.
