UFC 322 delivered one of the most memorable cards of the year, with a historic night unfolding inside Madison Square Garden. The MMA world watched as Islam Makhachev claimed the spotlight, capturing his second belt and becoming the reigning welterweight champion after dominating Jack Della Maddalena in a five-round battle. However, amid the historic triumph, controversy erupted when MMA star and Conor McGregor teammate Dillon Danis drew attention, evoking memories of the UFC 229 brawl.

The situation quickly intensified as Danis clashed with the ‘Team Khabib’ group. As commentators had anticipated, Daniel Cormier was caught off guard by a massive scuffle in the crowd involving multiple individuals. Eventually, security had to intervene, separating Dillon Danis and Makhachev’s teammate Magomed Zaynikov, aka ‘John Pork.’
After the event, Dana White reflected on the chaos and accepted responsibility during the post-fight interview. He has since banned Dillon Danis from UFC events, “I blame myself, actually. They came back and told me right before I walked out to the main card. Dillon Danis was here, moving around, sitting on the fighters’ seat instead of his own, even though he had his own ticket. They asked if I wanted them to throw him out, and I said he has a ticket.”

“It never crossed my mind that this stupid kid- the entire Muslim Brotherhood was there in the first five rows for Islam Makhachev- would be an issue. As soon as the breakout happened, I was there, and I was like, ‘F***, I know exactly what that is.’ And yeah, you will probably never see Dillon Danis at the UFC right.”
