From dazzling on the Dancing With The Stars stage to lighting up the halftime show during the Bruins vs. Pepperdine men’s basketball game, Jordan Chiles is doing it all. Recently, UCLA Gymnastics’ X handle shared a one-minute montage of her flawless balance beam routine, where she executed a cartwheen on the beam with precision and grace,  proof that the Olympian is locked in for the upcoming NCAA gymnastics season. In the caption, UCLA wrote, “Training for NCAA gymnastics season and taking classes at @UCLA while also competing on @officialdwts. Nobody does it like Jordan Chiles!”

With such a packed professional schedule, it’s almost unbelievable how she manages to balance it all, especially while being in her final year at UCLA. So, how does she do it? In a recent chat with UCLA, Chiles revealed that she worked with her coaches and counselors to move parts of her schedule online, allowing her to juggle both academics and athletics seamlessly.

“This quarter, I told my coaches and my academic counselor, ‘Hey, can we make sure everything is online? Because that’s going to be the easiest for me.” And so, I have all of my stuff online,” said the Olympic gold medalist.“I’ve just been trying to make sure I do as much homework as possible, especially if they’re asynchronous, and I can just kind of go at my own pace. But (balancing it all has) been really fun. It’s my senior year, so I’m trying to enjoy the best of it and just really finish everything out as strongly as possible.”

Balancing dance and her career with ease, Jordan Chiles has become an inspiration. Not just for her Olympic medals or dazzling Dancing With the Stars performances, but for her incredible multitasking skills. And that’s not all, she’s also been building some impressive connections in Hollywood along the way.

Fifth-Harmony’s Normani’s gymnastics session with Jordan Chiles

Last week at UCLA’s Yates Gym, Jordan Chiles lit up the floor alongside Normani, who dropped by for a spontaneous visit, perhaps feeling a touch of FOMO, given her gymnastics background. Eager to jump back in, Normani didn’t hold back. Both The Players’ Tribune and Billboard gave fans exclusive sneak peeks, sharing videos on Instagram and YouTube of her in full gymnastics attire, showing that her flips and flair are still as sharp as ever.

During the montage, Chiles admitted she felt a bit anxious, joking, “We’re not breaking Normani today.” Normani quickly reassured her, saying, “Gymnastics was actually the first thing that I did. Well, that and dance. I started gym when I was like four.” With that, she effortlessly executed a perfect cartwheel. The next challenge was a bit difficult, executing the same cartwheel but on a narrow beam.

Intimidating? Definitely. Risky? Absolutely. Yet, with just a flicker of hesitation, she pulled it off perfectly, her poise and fluidity leaving everyone wide-eyed. Jordan Chiles couldn’t contain her surprise, her jaw dropping as she breathed, “Oh my gosh. I’mma cry.” As the gymnast drags herself to prominence, it’s just palpable that she will get recognition. Regardless, what are your thoughts on her DWTS journey?
