It’s been a busy stretch for the Detroit Lions‘ quarterback, Jared Goff, on the field, but it turns out life off the field has been just as eventful. His wife, Christen Harper, recently shared a heartwarming update about their family on social media. Harper celebrated their daughter, Romy Isabelle Goff, who just turned five months old, with a heart-melting post on Instagram.

She shared multiple photos of her cradling the little one in her arms.
“5 months of the sweetest silliest little love!” she captioned the post.

The second slide showed a close-up of Romy peacefully sleeping with her head resting on her mother’s arm. This looked almost identical to the first picture her parents ever shared of her. Goff and Harper had taken to social media to announce the birth of their first child.
She was born on July 15 of this year.

Harper’s post immediately drew massive love from friends as well as several notable names from the NFL world. “Playdate soon!” Christian McCaffrey’s wife, Olivia Culpo, wrote in the comments. McCaffrey and Culpo, who tied the knot in June 2024, also welcomed their first child, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, in July.
The moms might want to plan a playdate soon after the season ends. And Olivia wasn’t the only one to chime in. Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp’s wife, Anna Marie Kupp, and Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Shane Bieber’s wife, Kara Maxine Bieber, also jumped into the comments to send heartfelt wishes to the family.

One of the slides in the Instagram post also had a picture of Goff holding his daughter in his arms with their backs to the camera. Romy is already a fan of her father. Earlier, Harper showed Romy’s tiny Lions jersey with the word “Daddy” written on the back.
As Harper shared, this would be her outfit for game day.
“She’s got her jersey on, as well, and a little bow,” Harper said. “[She also] has some football socks, and we’re ready to party. Aren’t we? Yes we are.”

Harper has long been one of Goff’s biggest supporters. She often attends his games and even appeared on Netflix’s Quarterback Season 2. Alongside her personal life, she has also been managing her work just as efficiently.
Christen Harper announced her role for the Brilora Fertility Foundation
After stepping into motherhood, Harper is now ready to take on another meaningful responsibility. She announced that she’s joining the Brilora Fertility Foundation as a board director. The foundation already has another familiar name.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, serves as board chair. She has openly discussed her own infertility struggles. While Harper hasn’t shared whether she’s experienced infertility herself, she explained that the foundation’s mission means a lot to her and that she’s eager to help expand its impact.
“So excited to become a board director for @brilorafertility,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “They are doing such incredible work, bringing hope and support to those in their fertility journey. Excited to share what we have been working on and why it means so much to me.”
For now, the Goff family’s attention will shift back to football with Goff gearing up for Week 14. Whether Harper and their daughter show up on the game day or cheer from home, they’ll be sending their love and support. The Lions quarterback will need a lot of that when he faces the Dallas Cowboys.
