The fantasy football playoffs are just a few weeks away now, and the waiver wire has never been thinner. However, there are still quite a few impact players you can pick up that’ll help you make that final playoff push. On top of that, there are some great defensive matchups you can take advantage of, and quite a few players you can buy low on before the fantasy trade deadline.

Let’s hop right into the best waiver wire additions, defenses to stream, and some trade targets for Week 11.

Note: Only players who are rostered in under 60 percent of leagues are on this list. Make sure to check your waivers in case a big name has been dropped/are still available.

Waiver Wire Additions

Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts

I said it last week, and I’ll say it again: pick up Alec Pierce if he’s still available in your league. He’s the best receiver that’ll be available for the rest of the season, and he’s in a very explosive offense. Pierce has scored 14+ in three of his last four games, and with AD Mitchell gone, he’s further solidified his role as the WR2 behind Michael Pittman.

Theo Johnson, TE, New York Giants

Finding a starting-caliber tight end on waivers in Week 11 is hard, but there’s one sitting there in most leagues. Theo Johnson has thrived with Jaxson Dart under center, scoring 10+ in five of the seven games since Dart took over as the starter. I don’t know why or how he’s available in so many leagues, but he’s a viable starting option pretty much every week.

FAAB: 15-20 percent

Rostered: 31 percent

Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another starting-caliber tight end that’s available on waivers is Cade Otton. Tampa’s starter has been great with all the injuries to their skill position players, scoring 10+ in four of his last five. He may not be the best long-term option, though. Once Chris Godwin and Mike Evans return, his production will get cut in half, but he’s a great option for the next few weeks heading into the playoffs.

Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Parker Washington has been feasting these past few weeks. His connection with Trevor Lawrence has grown, and he’s taken advantage of some injuries, scoring 17+ in each of his last two games. With Travis Hunter now out for the year, Washington solidifies himself as the WR3 in the Jags’ offense. We’ll have to see how he performs once Brian Thomas Jr. is back and Jakobi Meyers finds his footing in the offense, but in a thin waiver wire week, he’s a pretty decent option.

Rostered: 56 percent

Emari Demercado, RB, Arizona Cardinals

There are next to no running back options on waivers this week, but if I had to choose any of them, it would be Emari Demercado. He seems to be Arizona’s most efficient running back, and he just caught three passes in their loss to Seattle. I don’t really trust him, but there are pretty much no other options out there at the running back position.

FAAB: 5-10 percent

Best Defenses to Stream

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens had one of the worst defenses in the league early in the season, but as they’ve gotten healthier, they’ve looked much better in recent weeks. Couple that with a very favorable matchup against Cleveland, and they are one of the best defenses to stream this week.

Rostered: 50 percent

Atlanta Falcons

I know a lot of people, myself included, are down on the Atlanta Falcons right now, but their defense hasn’t been horrible this year, and they have a very favorable matchup against a bad Carolina Panthers offense. Bryce Young and Co. have been completely out of sync, so there’s no reason Atlanta shouldn’t play well this weekend.

Rostered: 12 percent

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the best defenses in the league. They have a solid pass rush, they can defend the run, and they can cover, and this week they face a Denver offense that has been very inconsistent and is coming off a horrible performance on Thursday Night Football. I think they’re a sneaky good start this week.

Rostered: 26 percent

Los Angeles Chargers

Last week I said to pick up the Los Angeles Chargers’ defense, and not many people listened. But they should’ve, because they put up 15 points against Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football, and now they have another good matchup against an inconsistent Jacksonville offense.

Matchup: Jacksonville Jaguars

Trade Targets

Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings

This is the perfect time to buy low on Justin Jefferson. He’s coming off a bad game, and if his owner is scratching and clawing to make the playoffs, they might be willing to move off of him for the right price. Outside of this week, he’s been great with J.J. McCarthy under center, and I have no doubt in my mind that he’ll get back to playing well with his second-year QB, especially because he still saw 12 targets last game. Go get him before the deadline.

DK Metcalf, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

DK Metcalf has scored less than 10 points in each of the last two games, but before that, he had scored over 10 points in each of his first seven games. While I don’t think Pittsburgh is all that good, he’s still a true WR1, and those are hard to come by at this point in the season. Trade for him before the deadline, because he can be a starter for the rest of the year.

Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

This is for all of you who are in dire need of running back help and are on the fringe of the playoffs. Jaylen Warren doesn’t have the greatest playoff schedule, but his next four games are against Cincinnati, Chicago, Buffalo, and Baltimore. If you need to stack some wins in order to squeak into the playoffs, get Warren, because he has one of the best RB schedules up until the start of the postseason.

Bijan Robinson, RB, Atlanta Falcons

Want to swing for the fences? Bijan Robinson is in the midst of a four-game stretch where he hasn’t played great (at least to his standards) and has averaged 13 points per game. You’d take that from most guys, but from your first round pick, you’d expect more, which is why some people may be willing to part with him. It would cost a decent bit, but if you’re loaded at receiver and can give up some quality players for a star RB, Bijan should be your target.
