Fans were ecstatic as CM Punk made his comeback on AEW’s Collision last week. His return was the much-needed boost that AEW eagerly waiting for. CM Punk was out of action for 9 months owing to a torn tricep injury.

In addition, the wrestling promotion also stripped him of the AEW World Championship and suspended him because of a backstage fight with The Elite. So fans are hopeful that this time around, Punk plays it safe and stays longer in AEW. Moreover, AJ Lee already seems to have taken inspiration from his return to AEW.

AJ Lee posted a jacked-up picture on her Instagram

AJ Lee had a distinguished career herself as she debuted in NXT and eventually moved onto the WWE main roster. She successfully won the WWE Divas Championship thrice. Lee eventually retired from in-ring wrestling, citing the permanent damage to her cervical spine as the main reason for her departure. She later joined the Women of Wrestling promotion as an executive producer in 2021.

But after her hubby CM Punk’s power-packed return to the ring last Saturday, she posted a ripped pic of herself on Instagram with the caption ‘been bulking’.

CM Punk and AJ Lee in future tag team action

In a recent interview on ESPN’s SportsNation, Punk was told that AEW stars Adam Cole and Britt Baker chose him and his wife AJ Lee as the dream opponents they would like to face in the ring.

To which Punk replied jokingly, “That one i can’t promise you.  She’s doing her own thing, and to be completely honest i know her and if i said ‘hey you wanna do this wrestling match’ and if she was all gung-ho to do it, i know she would want to get into stupid shape due to it and i like her thick, so i don’t want to take that away from myself.”
